Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: Isaiah 26:3-4
God promises to “keep you in perfect peace” if you keep your mind fixed on Him.
Colossians 3:1-2 says “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” we are to keep our eyes fixed on Christ and keep Him first in our lives “I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.” Psalm 16:8
We are to set THE LORD always before us then we will not be moved, If you have God himself on your side you will never be defeated. Not because you are strong but because Jesus is strong through you, “for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
Jesus is our example “…Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:” 1 Peter 2:21
Jesus is all that we need. We may look impressive in the world’s eyes, we may have a nice car, a good job or a nice house but in reality if we do not have Jesus in our lives then our lives have no meaning at all, our lives would not have that “perfect peace” that Jesus talks about, the joy that Jesus offers and the assurance that one day we will live in heaven where, as Revelation 21:4 says “…God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Amen, let us go out and share the good news that Jesus is Lord and that He is calling to all of us to put our faith and trust in Him alone!
Very excellent post my brother, thank you.

Amen and amen! We once lived nice comfortable lives until God shook us out of our comfort to come closer to Him, be filled with the Spirit, and share the Good News–and I have more joy now than I ever did then. Praise Jesus! Let’s keep our eyes on the prize 🙂
